| Location: Pittsfield,MA,USA Member Since: Jan 08, 2009 Gender: Female Goal Type: Recover From Injury Running Accomplishments: I ran Varsity Track and Field in high school and was primarily a sprinter (100m, 200m). I also did the 400m, 4x400m, long jump and triple jump. Sprinting comes most naturally to me, but I am opening myself up to trying new things and increasing my endurance. I didn't get into running any long distance events until I met Benn and I'm still getting used to it! Short-Term Running Goals: I sprained my ankle the night before Thanksgiving 2008 which forced me to come back from that injury. Right now I am primarily doing running workouts in the 5k range, hiking, trail running, and some cycling. I also do lot of stretching and some free weight exercises, along with some cardio & yoga here and there.
Long-Term Running Goals: To stay healthy and active. To make exercise a permanent part of my life. To act as a roll model for wellness.
Personal: I live in the Berkshires in western Massachusetts. Earned my Bachelor's degree in Psychology. Am currently working at a day spa but am taking steps to work in a laboratory. Getting marriedto the guy of my dreams, Benn, in October 2010 and am honored to be able to spend the rest of my life with him. Lots of excitement and planning to do, but taking it all in "stride". | | Ran at the Ashuwillticook Rail rail with Benn. Interviewed and got a new job and then went and got my first hair trim in 7 months!!!! Eeek! Started at Lulu's today (versus at the Pittsfield parking lot). Beautiful lake views for the 2.02 mile run. Then stretched. | Add Comment |
| | Went trail running with Benn after work today at Olivia's Overlook. 3.5 mile loop of hills and dips. Stretched and did a cool down moderate-paced walk for 2.2 miles. Felt good :) | Add Comment |

Did Power90 Cardio 3-4 today after work while Benn ran on the treadmill downstairs. The workout included power yoga, step, jumping jacks, running, leg work, kickboxing, etc. Afterward I stretched and did a free weight circuit and 4 sets of (4) lunges and (12) squats (in 3 different squat positions).
